IB Systems has signed three contracts with Electra M&E Polska for the installation of mechanical and pneumatic smoke extraction systems on halls 1.1, 1.2 and 3.0 at the Mercedes plant in Jawor near Legnica.
The work gradually ran from May 2019 to April 2020
"Poland's first Mercedes-Benz electric motor and battery plant will be located in the Jawor municipality, located about 70 km west of Wrocław, within the Walbrzych Special Economic Zone. The plant, within the newly established Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Poland, will produce four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines and electric batteries for Mercedes-Benz passenger cars. The state-of-the-art plant will combine the highest standards of the automotive industry with the idea of ‘Industry 4.0’, and its commissioning will allow the Group to increase its production capacity in Eastern Europe and the flexibility and efficiency of the Mercedes-Benz global production network.(...)
The value of Daimler AG's investment in Jawor is around EUR 600 million, or more than PLN 2.5 billion. However, the launch of such a modern plant is not only an investment in its construction. The plant in Jawor is also an opportunity to create more than 1,000 new, highly qualified jobs, each of which will generate additional jobs with cooperators, sub-suppliers and service providers in the region.
