IB Systems, commissioned by WARBUD S.A., manufactured:
for the construction of the paediatric hospital "Wielkopolskie Centrum Zdrowia Dziecka" in Poznań.
The work was carried out in the period 27.02.2020 - 31.12.2021
"The Wielkopolskie Centrum Zdrowia Dziecka" (WCZD) is one of the most modern and largest paediatric hospitals in Poland. It is the first public hospital facility in Poznań built from scratch after several decades. After several years of work, one of the most magnificent children's clinics in central Europe was created. (...) The hospital was designed to accommodate not only young patients, but also their carers. It is a facility with 354 beds for children, nine wards and several specialist outpatient clinics. The facility was designed with the intention of dividing it into two parts: one is made up of bed wards and the other consists of a complex of diagnostic, emergency and surgical wards. These two blocks are connected in the central part by a common circulation area, with a main staircase and four lifts. The so-called ‘bed’ section has been designed in an H-shape, with a narrow passageway allowing light into the rooms on either side of the passageways. The second part, which is the heart of the hospital, will house the ED, diagnostic imaging and emergency room on the ground floor, while the upper floor will house the hospital's administration. The operating theatre is a complex of five modern and automated rooms, with monitors enabling the transmission of the operations performed in them (including the Teaching Centre). There is also state-of-the-art technology: the hospital has pneumatic mail or a robot pharmacy that automatically distributes medication to patients. The hospital also has laboratories, a canteen, a kitchen and a school. All the rooms for the WCZD administration service are located on the top floor, which already started working there on 28 March."
