IB Systems Sp. z o.o. signed a contract with The KaDeWe Group GmbH in June 2019 to carry out work at the Kaufhaus des Westens, KaDeWe facility in Berlin on:

supply and installation of cable routes, object switchgear, cables and conductors (including the power and light wiring - wiring - power and light installation), emergency and evacuation lighting luminaires, electrical equipment, equalisation connections, teletechnology - smoke removal, as well as the execution of the installation of basic lighting luminaires and the supply, installation and commissioning of the KNX system for parts of floors 5 and 6.

Work started in June 2019 and was completed in December 2019.

‘KaDaWe (full name: Kaufhaus des Westens) is no ordinary shopping centre. KaDaWe is the largest department store in continental Europe and one of the key symbols of Berlin. In the eyes of Berliners, it is regarded as an economic
economic symbol of the country's rebirth. It covers an area of as much as 60,000 square metres.


The KaDeWe has as many as 1,800 shops offering luxury clothing, cosmetics and various accessories. Approximately 2,000 employees work at the department store and nearly 180,000 customers visit it every day. KaDeWe is distinguished not only by its huge selection of luxury products, but also by its very high service standards and elegant interiors. When observing the service at KaDeWe, one might have the impression that we have somehow magically transported to the department stores we know from old American or English films. Class, elegance, utmost culture and a pleasant smile on your face. We have to admit that this is a very nice change[...].

Compared to Europe's most exclusive shopping centres - the Lafayette Gallery in Paris, Selfridges in London or the Rinascente in Milan - it impresses with its huge assortment, sumptuousness and the atmosphere of luxury floating in the air. [...]

In the near future, the KaDeWe shopping centre will be renovated and divided into four sections. Each will be created with a different clientele in mind and will be given its own circulation space; an escalator, with a different shape in each part (from ‘tornado’ to rectangular). Each part will also be distinguished by different architecture and decor. The different parts will have separate entrances. It is safe to say that the current KaDeWe will be replaced by as many as four smaller buildings instead of one shopping centre. Another great advantage of the renovated centre will be the glass roof, which will not only let natural sunlight into the building, but also open up the view of the city skyline from the ninth floor of the building.[...]’
